Why ride?
Firstly, because it's fun to do something that consumerism can't touch.
Secondly, because Stonehenge reminds us of our place in the journey of human evolution. Stonehenge was built around 5,000 years ago, supposedly so our ancestors could monitor the sun. In an age full of WhatsApp message and tweets from President Trump it's nice to remind us of where we are on the human development timeline. Indeed, without acknowledging where we've come from and how we fit into the wider context of DNA based life, how are we able to make informed choices going forward? Perhaps we should devote more resources to rewilding efforts?
